Ten long years the living and the dead knows nought,
　十年生死兩茫茫
I don't try to remember
　不思量
but 'tis hard to forgot.
　自難忘
Lonely grave a thousand miles away,
　千里孤墳
cold thoughts - to whom can I my grief convey?
　無處話淒涼
Even if we met you wouldn't know me,
　縱使相逄應不識
dust on my face,
　塵滿面
hair like frost -
　鬢如霜

In a dream last night suddenly I was home,
　夜來幽夢忽還鄉
you're making up your face,
　小軒窗
In a little room, by the window with grace.
　正梳妝
We gazed at each other hushed,
　相顧無言
lines of tears from our eyes gushed -
　唯有淚千行
year after year will it break my heart?
　料得年年腸斷處
The moonlit grave,
　明月夜
its stubby pines.
